  Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran assumed office as Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to Southern India in 2025.

As a qualified Medical Doctor with over eight years of hands-on healthcare experience, and a seasoned Business Administrator with six years of executive management, Dr. Ganesanathan possesses a rare understanding of both human welfare and organizational efficiency. This dual expertise has been the cornerstone of his career, allowing him to navigate complex regulatory environments while driving sustainable growth.

His professional journey is marked by a global perspective. Dr. Geathiswaran lived in the Russian Federation for six years, where he cultivated a deep understanding of the Eurasian economic and cultural landscape, followed by five years based in India, giving him critical insight into South Asian dynamics. These foundational experiences were complemented by extensive business travel, where he forged international partnerships and executed projects across multiple continents.
