Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in Chennai, participated in the National Day celebrations of the Republic of Uganda, held in Chennai on 17 October 2026. The event celebrated Uganda’s independence and highlighted the spirit of unity, progress and friendship among nations. It also provided an opportunity to strengthen diplomatic ties and promote mutual understanding and cooperation.H.E. Prof. Joyce K. Kikafunda, High Commissioner of Uganda to India, and H.E. Madhusudan Agarwal, Honorary Consul of the Republic of Uganda in Mumbai, were also present at the celebrations.
