The Deputy High Commissioner of Sri Lanka for Southern India, Dr. Ganesanathan Geathiswaran, attended KARDIA CONNECT 2026, organised by the Kardia Heart Foundation, a unit of Orthomed Hospitals, in commemoration of World Heart Day, on 29 September 2026 in Chennai. In his remarks, the Deputy High Commissioner highlighted the importance of promoting awareness, preventive healthcare and timely medical attention in safeguarding cardiovascular health. He underscored the value of healthy lifestyle practices, regular health check-ups and early recognition of warning signs associated with heart-related conditions. The Deputy High Commissioner expressed his appreciation to Dr. Subair Khan, Founder and Managing Director of Orthomed Hospitals, and the entire team of Orthomed Hospitals and Kardia Heart Foundation for organising the programme and for their continued efforts to promote public awareness on heart health. The programme brought together distinguished medical professionals and members of the community, providing a meaningful platform to exchange knowledge and promote greater awareness of cardiovascular health.
